We are seeking an exceptional AI Systems Engineer to build the intelligence layer that synthesizes vast health datasets into actionable, traceable, and deeply personalized recommendations, creating feedback loops that evolve with each member over time.
The Role
We are seeking an AI Systems Engineer to build the intelligence layer at the core of Elyx's healthspan platform. This is not a chatbot. The ideal candidate understands that AI in healthcare is a matter of hypothesis and validation, and will design systems that solve for both traceability and hyper-personalization at the highest level of rigor.
Synthesize Knowledge
Build RAG systems, agentic workflows, and fine-tuned models that ingest the latest medical research and map it to individual member profiles
Traceability and Safety
Ensure every AI-driven recommendation is backed by data and can be verified by a human expert
Create systems that learn from a member's progress, continuously adjusting health goals based on real-world outcomes
Feedback Loops
Operational Intelligence
Streamline the health concierge workflow so our Circle of Experts can focus on the relationship and outsource the knowledge work
The Requirements
Deep experience building production-grade AI systems including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and fine-tuned models
Strong understanding of AI safety, traceability, and human-in-the-loop validation frameworks
Experience working with complex, sensitive datasets in regulated or high-stakes environments
Researcher-builder mindset with the ability to move from hypothesis to working system
Ability to articulate the constraints and failure modes of current AI systems clearly
